The response has been overwhelming and it’s clear folks are stoked on our newest product, Gnarly Performance Greens. We’ve had some questions on how and when to use Gnarly Performance Greens and also how best to store the product, so we thought we’d address them all here so everyone can benefit. If you have any questions that are not covered, feel free to reach out to us and we’ll make sure we get you an answer.
Why would I take Gnarly Performance Greens?
Greens have traditionally been used as a nutrient booster (think of them as a whole food-based multivitamin), and Gnarly Performance Greens are that and more. In addition to being a good source of Iron, Vitamin A, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin E and Vitamin C (all naturally occurring), this formulation also has ingredients that will provide nutritive support for adaptation to training. Effective doses of organic turmeric (500mg) and Omega 3’s (100mg vegan DHA plus chia and flax) to combat inflammation; organic beet root (500mg), pomegranate (250mg) and tart cherry (250mg) to improve blood flow; organic cordyceps (500mg) and reishi (300 mg) for endurance and immunity; ginseng (100mg) for energy; and probiotics (2B CFU/serving) for digestion and gut health, plus so much more.
When is the best time to take Gnarly Performance Greens?
Keep in mind that the ingredients in Gnarly Performance Greens are whole foods and not isolated compounds, so the impact may not be acute or immediate, but when taken daily, they will have an impact on recovery and performance. Timing is not necessarily an important factor here, but with ingredients like beet root, cordyceps and maca, taking Performance Greens in the morning before training could be of benefit. That being said, this is definitely something you can take multiple times a day. For instance, we have athletes that have been enjoying the Lemon Mint mixed with water first thing in the morning and then later having a second dose by adding the Blueberry Açai to their protein following training. In addition to daily use for training, Gnarly Performance Greens are a great thing to have when you head out on your next adventure and your intake of fruits and vegetables may be lower than normal!
How do I store my Gnarly Performance Greens?
Because Gnarly Performance Greens contains whole foods and probiotics we are recommending that, for optimum freshness, it be kept refrigerated. If refrigeration is not possible, keep it in a cool and dry place!
