Q&A
What is your most unusual talent?
My boxers and socks are always folded perfectly. It does take an excruciatingly long time though.
What is the scariest thing you've ever done?
Not going to lie, asking my GF (now wife) to marry me was unexpectedly nerve wracking. Maybe it was just a lack of planning but I stumbled bad initiating the question.
Why do you like working with Gnarly?
Oh so many reasons- stoked to be working with a local company that cares about what goes into its products. Everyone at the brand walks the walk which I love. The logo is obvs very cool too.
Do you collect anything?
You name it I've got it:rocks, scars, knives, trinkets, tattoos, coins…
Outside of your respective sport, what are you most proud of?
I won my third grade spelling bee which was pretty nice. Haha, honestly I think my ability to enjoy the present moment. It definitely makes me procrastinate on the work side of things, but there's just always something fun to go do.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
Dinner for sure.
Who is your hero? Why?
I take a lot of inspiration from a lot of people- but top of mind are Hilaree Nelson, the Benegas brothers, my family, Ian MacIntosh. The common thread with all of them is that they taught leadership through action. All of them are gifted athletes in their respective ways- open to sharing their knowledge and being patient in intense situations.
Any advice for aspiring athletes?
Try to always keep a beginners mindset, ready to learn more every day. The greatest athletes I have ever met (pro or not) have an open mind.
Please choose two Gnarly products to recommend.
Just two?!?!? I don't know what teet the Golden Milk comes from, but it needs to be protected at all costs because that s*** is delicious. I use the Creatine every day so that's a fave. I also may have an addiction to the Salted Marg hydrate. Savory>sweet all day.
